WHO WE ARE

AcTogether is an initiative created by students of School of Management and Innovation at Sciences Po Paris. As students doing our Master's degree, we spend  long hours studying. However, we also want to make the world a better place by taking small steps in our every day lives that contribute to a global change.

But where do we start ? How do we get involved in activity of any  association ? How do we get to know about different initiatives ? We felt lost. That's how we came with the idea of ACTOGETHER !

We decided to create a platform for anyone who wants to get involved, promptly or regularly, but do not know where to start. AcTogether acts as an intermediary between citizens and associations and is here to help and inform about different initiatives that are open to be joined in order to save the planet, help change habits or become more responsible in our daily lives.

Join us to make a change !

WHAT WE DO

A SOCIAL NETWORK FOR ACTIVE CITIZENS

ACTOGETHER is an online platform which aggregates missions from socially to environmentally-aware organisations within an area. It enables citizens to participate in two ways:

  • Users of the platform can engage in a particular project (i.e. they give a few hours of their time in exchange of a given number of tokens)

  • Users of the platform can invest in the platform or in a particular project. They receive a given number of tokens in exchange.

The tokens can be used in partner shops or public services.

We have called our tokens the SEEDS, for Social Ecological with Everyone for Development and Sustainability, as it is what we stand for, and because these words perfectly represent our values.

ABOUT LOCAL CURRENCY

USE THE SEEDS TO PLANT A BETTER FUTURE

"In France, we can not say that local currencies have proved their worth in terms of volume impact, but we can say that there has been a real impact in terms of social ties and reappropriation. We feel that there is now a real stake, especially concerning sustainable development," said Amandine Albizzati, director of institutional relations of La Nef solidarity finance cooperative.

In Europe, initiatives have already prove it can work. In Boulogne-sur-Mer in France, it is possible to pay for its public transport tickets in local currency, the eusko in the Basque Country has agreements with the Bayonne town hall and the Hendaye town hall, especially for the access to places of culture, swimming pools or sporting events.

The idea of the SEEDS is to create a link between people, a real community around this local money.
